Some local Buddhists are organizing a pilgrimage on Sunday, July 12, 2026, to support The SAFE Alliance, which provides shelter and rape-kit services for survivors in Austin and is facing a serious budget shortfall. We’ll gather at 7:00 AM at 11th & Chalmers, then walk public sidewalks with stops at Texas State Cemetery, the Austin LGBTQ Chamber, Mexic-Arte, and City Hall. All are welcome to walk, join at stops, share the flyer, translate materials, or spread the word. This is a nonviolent, environmentally friendly, open to all or no faiths, solidarity walk for survivors and marginalized communities.
