9/11 Memorial Tower Climb

While the Austin Fire Department’s 9/11 memorial stair climb – the longest-running in the country – is closed to the public, anyone can register to participate in this memorial at the 25-story-tall Observation Tower at Circuit of the Americas. Participants can either climb once or make multiple ascents to honor the World Trade Center’s 110 stories that FDNY firefighters heroically climbed 25 years ago. Registration fee ($35) benefits Samaritan Center’s Hope for Heroes program, which offers mental health services to veterans, military service members, first responders, their children, and spouses. – Kimberley Jones
