Brazilian pianist, singer, songwriter Paula Maya is the winner of two silver medals in the 2026 Global Music Awards for Best Jazz and Best Instrumentalist. She was nominated in the 2025 Austin Chronicle Music Awards for Best World Artist and Best Latin Artist, and in 2024 Best World Artist.
4th Fridays Bossa Nova will celebrate 5 years in November. It features Paula Maya and her band Bossa Nova Plus performing the classics of bossa nova plus MPB and originals, with drummer Masumi Jones, guitarist Chris Vestre, percussionist Luiz Coutinho and bassist Alán Uribe.
