Did you know Austin currently claims 13 sister cities across the globe? Get to know some of the fam at Austin Sister Cities International’s annual celebration. A Parade of Cultures kicks off the day at City Hall and winds its way to the nearby Central Library (traditional clothing from your own home country is encouraged). After that, enjoy a full day of live performances sourced from Austin’s sister cities in Taiwan, Japan, Ireland, Peru, Ireland, France, and Korea. A family-friendly event, there’ll be games, crafts, and more for the kiddos – not to mention a teachable moment that it’s always best to greet other cultures with curiosity and a kind heart. – Kimberley Jones
