Parley isn’t exactly what you’d picture when you think “Irish pub” or “neighborhood bar,” but Irishmen and co-founders Terance Robson and Jack “Slim” Hogan are making the argument that a third space can be both chic and reliable. In the dimly lit East Cesar Chavez barroom, the screens are ready to show the big game or an arthouse film. The pool table and barstools get crowded with chatter and laughter from guests in stilettos and sneakers, and comforts in between. Most importantly, the drinks, strong and steady, complement the comfort food-inspired bites, all updated with a global fusion twist.
