It’s rare to find something with the longevity to celebrate 70 years, but Bond’s has now done it. Founder Robert A. “Bob” Bond was the first trained TV tech in Austin, starting when only 65% of Americans had a television set at home (it’s been about 98% since the late Seventies). Now run by Bob’s son David, Bond’s is who you call to deck out a home theatre or set up an office conference room for Zoom calls. Bond’s looks to the future while preserving the past, as evidenced by their vintage TV museum with over 60 sets dating back to 1948.
