Build it, and they will strum. Founding partners Wally Williams and Danny Levin converted a downtown 1970s bath house (and, ahem, the original old Chronicle HQ) into a 6,200-square-foot recording studio, and now they keep the place buzzing with a staff of 13 and dozens of freelance composers and world-class studio musicians. Designed by Mark Genfan of Acoustic Spaces, the facility features three studios and a live room, with the very latest recording software at work in each.
