Austin now features so many festivals of worldwide recognition that you could almost be tempted to take them for granted. But take them for granted we will not. In three short years ACL has established itself as a festival to be modeled after and has featured memorable performances from such heavyweights as R.E.M., the Pixies, and Wilco as well as giving local acts like Pong and the Real Heroes a chance to broaden their fan base.
