With the steely fortitude of the real pioneers of the 1880s, our local jewel-in-the- rough attraction continues to thrive despite a funding crisis a few years back. We think that's great, because kids love to learn about animals, and plants, and history in a way that is real to them - and there's nothing realer than touching, feeling, smelling, hearing, and seeing the way life was lived back in the day.
