DESCRIPTION:The 2026 Austin Jazz Hall of Fame Awards honor a figure near and dear to our hearts\, as KUTX deejay and former Austin Chronicle scribe Jay Trachtenberg receives his flowers for his decades of service to America’s music. He’s not the only one: guitar pioneer Eddie Durham\, bass monster Roscoe Beck\, and beloved educator Dr. Beulah Agnes Curry Jones also get well-deserved placement into the Hall. Trumpeter Ephraim Owens\, trombonist Andre Hayward\, singer Pamela Hart\, guitarist Mitch Watkins\, and the Living Legends of Austin Jazz provide the tunes\, while Wednesday Night Jazz Meeting host Rabbi Neil Blumofe presents. &#8\;– Michael Toland
