SUMMARY:14th Annual Boo the Flu
DESCRIPTION:You know what stinks? Getting the flu. The best way to avoid that scratchy-throated\, achy fate is to get a flu shot. And on Saturday\, the best place to get a flu shot – for free! – is the annual Boo the Flu fall festival. In addition to free vaccines for uninsured/underinsured individuals\, the event is offering free vision screenings\, a food distribution event\, and connections to other community resources\, plus music and prizes. Can’t make the party? Austin Public Health would like to remind you that flu and other vaccines are available for children with Medicaid and uninsured children and adults through Austin Public Health’s Shots for Tots and Big Shots clinics\, Monday through Friday\, 8am-12:30pm and 1:30-4:30pm\, at the Dove Springs Clinic (5811 Palo Blanco Ln.) and St. Johns Clinic (7500 Blessing Ave.)\; call 512/972-5520 to schedule an appointment. – Kimberley Jones Price: Free
