Martin Scorsese’s 1990s directing run is about as classic as it gets\, and Goodfellas is a gut punch of gangster perfection\, roughly retelling the rise and fall of real-life mobster rat Henry Hill. It’s hard to say what goes harder in this movie: Ray Liotta’s coked-out portrayal of Hill\, Lorraine Bracco’s Oscar-nominated turn as his luxury-hounding wife Karen\, or Joe Pesci’s Oscar-winning rage-bomb Tommy DeVito.
