SUMMARY:Caros Amigos and the Austin Choro Club
DESCRIPTION:Austin's only Brazilian choro band\, Caros Amigos ("Dear Friends")\, formed in 2021 and specializes in the lively\, toe-tapping traditional music of Brazil. A “cousin” of samba\, choro is mainly an instrumental music featuring upbeat rhythms\, lilting melodies\, and virtuosic musicianship. Following Caros Amigos' set\, will be a unique community-participation musical experience (Austin Choro Club) following the traditions of it's native Brazil - a "roda de choro" ("choro circle") - a "choro jam session." All are welcome to participate.
